Sequential Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (SIPC) therapy is the process of applying external pressure to the limbs to promote the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid from the extremities of the body. The device works using pneumatic compression in a variety of garments – arm, leg, pants, arm-vest or abdomen and groin. Manage oedema, skin breakdown and ulcers, and tissue changes associated with conditions such as lymphoedema, lipoedema, or chronic venous insufficiency.

How it works

Intermittent pneumatic compression facilitates the body’s manual lymphatic drainage. By applying pressure to the surface of the limb it promotes the circulation of blood/ lymph fluid throughout the body. Each chamber inflates and deflates sequentially starting from the extremity and moving towards the centre of the body.
